A thought is enough

Life doesn’t arrive
in finished sentences.

Neither should your journal.

Type a few words. Say it out loud. Save a photo or sketch what you can’t quite explain. Catch the moment now, and give it meaning when you’re ready.

01 / THE BIG PICTURE

A little room for every memory.

Let your days sit side by side. A spacious grid makes it easy to browse your entries, notice a thought, and follow it back.

Set the mood.

Private by nature. Connected by choice.

Your world.
You decide who’s invited.

Stay entirely on your device, or make a little room for the cloud.
Either way, you’re the one making the call.

The long way home

I took the long way home today. The light was coming through the trees, and for once I wasn’t in a hurry to be anywhere else. A small reminder that there’s something to be found in slowing down.

Ask us something
Do I need an account to use JRNL?

No. Capture thoughts, write entries, browse, and search on your device without an account. Sign in when you want connected features.

What’s the difference between sync and backup?

Cloud sync keeps your journal up to date across your devices. Cloud backup keeps a copy you can return to. Both are optional; you can keep your journal local.

Does AI write my journal for me?

Only if you invite it to help. You select the thoughts to send for AI composition, then review and edit the draft before saving it. You can also write every entry yourself.

Can I take my writing with me?

Yes. Export your journal as JSON to keep your own copy of your words.

Can I change how my journal looks?

Choose grid, calendar, or list, and switch between Light, Dark, High Contrast Light, and High Contrast Dark. Or let JRNL follow your system appearance.

There’s a little space waiting for you
